My Profile

I am a native Dusseldorfian, born 1961. --- In university, which I attended in Bonn and Cologne, I studied Social Anthropology, Art History of both European and Oriental Cultures. In Addition, I attended five years at the Academy of Arts in Dusseldorf under the guidance of esteemed professors Klapheck, Spies, Good.

I successfully completed my studies and in 1989 received my Masters of Arts. My carrer has taken me into the fields of tourism, advertising, marketing, journalism, adult education and water sports managing different creative, and merchandising tasks. While acting as an art therapist, I learned the process of soul searching. Further more I travelled to all continents and most important I painted and took many photographs.

In 2003 I established my own working studio in Dusseldorf adjoined by an exhibition loft that is used for both single and group shows.

My work is mainly abstract, with characteristics of primitive art and the love for powerful vivid colors in unique patternst hat express abundance, joy of life and spirit.

At the same time there is a strong longing for the opposite, namely for a meditative depth and a Zen-like reduction

Paintings are equally as important to language as my most important way of expression. The only constant in my work will be CHANGE (freely adapted from Buddha).
